It’s been a year since I’ve moved from Washington, DC. In that year I’ve bought a new car, had emergency surgery, joined a Crossfit gym, welcomed a new nephew to the world, painted the house, helped raise a binturong, and made some progress on my documentary. But I haven’t been very good at keeping this blog updated.

So I’m going to start again. And this time I’m making an effort to remove the excuses I’ve used in the past. “I don’t have time.” Yes, I do. “The PC is broken again.” It’s fixed, and I also have a laptop, tablet, and smart phone. The internet is in my pocket at all times. “I have nothing to write about.” And yet my Twitter account is reaching nearly 14k posts. Hmm.

There you have it, excuses vanquished. Hopefully now I can stop lamenting to myself the lack of discussion about X, Y, & Z and use this space to start those discussions.
